Lourdes Diaz has more than 30 years of integrated marketing communications, media sales, public relations, political consulting, and advertising. She has been instrumental in the strategic development and success of bilingual, Spanish-dominant, and cross-over programs for scores of local and national clients, Hispanic media networks and elected officials. A pioneer in the U.S. Hispanic market, she is an experienced counselor in all matters pertaining to this multicultural ethnic group. She is the former Executive Vice President of Caracol’s WGEN-TV8, Director of the Station Group for NBC/Telemundo, and former sales/regional manager of WQBA-FM, WSCV-TV, KWHY-TV, and WMXJ-FM. Ms. Diaz also has an extensive background in political campaign planning providing strategic marketing and media counsel to numerous political campaigns on the Federal, State and local level.
Mark Pafford brings experience and hands on health care advocacy know-how to Florida CHAIN. Mark was elected to four terms in the Florida State House and served as Minority Leader during his final term. His work with numerous health related non-profits and as a member of the Florida Legislature will help guide the organization in an era of to be determined health care priorities at the federal and state levels of health care policy development. Mr. Pafford most recently served as CEO of Florida CHAIN, and previously was CEO of the Marshall Foundation, tasked with preservation and education about the Everglades.
Ron Watson is the Director of Governmental Relations for AltMed. He is also the President of Watson Strategies, a full service lobbying firm, who helped spearhead the passage of the “Charlotte’s Web / Low-THC Cannabis” bill (SB 1030) in Florida. Mr. Watson has 25 years of experience in Florida political, regulatory and lobbying endeavors. He has lobbied for physicians and dentists with the Florida Medical Association (FMA), the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), and most recently, the Florida Dental Association (FDA). During this time, he has developed excellent relationships with executive, legislative and regulatory leadership throughout Florida government. Mr. Watson has a comprehensive knowledge of laws, rules, budgets and regulations concerning medical, dental, pharmaceutical, tort reform and insurance issues. He also has extensive political involvement with patient advocacy and grassroots organizations, as well as organizing and managing political action committees.
